Kochi Business School hosted an engaging session on October 6th, 2025. In the Guest Speaker Series Program, which was organised by the Tourism and Hospitality Club. In the event, Ms Keerthana Nanju, Business Administrator at Microsoft, shared her valuable experiences and insights under the presentation titled "Hospitality to Corporate: Lessons for Career Growth."
Ms Keerthana captivated the audience by explaining how the core competencies from the hospitality industry, communication, adaptability and empathy are taken to the corporate sector. She stressed viewing one's customer-centric attitude, working in teams and getting things done with an eye on service excellence as core tenets for pursuing a flourishing corporate career.
Ms Keerthana shared her personal journey through which she described the transition from hospitality to a large global technology company, Microsoft. The incident inspired students to look at experiences in any industry as potential stepping stones toward a successful career.
