Placement Policy

The following policy pertaining to training, student development, and placement outlines the roles and responsibilities of all participants and states the regulations to be followed.

Placement, Training & Student Development Policy

  • KBS offers placement assistance to the maximum possible extent, not placement assurance. Placement depends on the eligibility and employability of students.

  • All staff members must share any placement leads with the Dean – Corporate Relations & Executive Education. Faculty should guide students on current job market trends and expectations.

  • The placement committee supports placements, connects students to workplaces, gathers placement data, and helps with mentorship, training, events, inaugurations, industrial visits, and internships.

  • Students must register with the Department of Corporate Relations & Executive Education to attend recruitment drives. Only students willing to work anywhere in India or abroad may register.

  • A minimum of 85% attendance is required to be eligible for recruitment drives. Attendance in all training and development programs is mandatory.

  • Good academic performance without backlogs is essential. Organizations often do not accept candidates with arrears. Students with arrears will be considered only if opportunities are available.

  • Students must complete meaningful internships, research projects, and all KBS assignments.

  • All placement opportunities and requirements will be notified through KBS–CREE. Students must thoroughly read and understand job profiles, eligibility criteria, selection process, pay scale, location, and other details. No complaints will be entertained later.

  • The placement committee coordinates recruitment drives under KBS–CREE and ensures recruiters submit detailed job descriptions and selection processes.

  • Students must inform KBS–CREE when they receive an interview or aptitude test call and obtain duty leave in advance. Same-day leave will not be approved. The interview call letter must be attached with the leave request.

  • Students must attend placement processes in formal dress and maintain discipline, following all instructions from KBS–CREE.

  • Absenteeism from recruitment drives after registration will be taken seriously. Students must provide valid reasons. Two absences without justification will lead to delisting.

  • Students will receive up to three interviews based on their profile.

  • Once a student qualifies and receives a job offer, accepting it is mandatory. Declining the offer will result in delisting.

  • A student placed once is not eligible for further drives. However, in exceptional cases where a better opportunity arises, they may attend with approval from KBS–CREE. A maximum of three placement opportunities will be provided.

  • Students receiving job offers must follow all conditions set by the hiring organization. KBS–CREE is not responsible for issues afterward.

  • Students must submit a copy of their offer letter to KBS–CREE. Students placed laterally must also submit their offer letters.

  • Students must provide feedback to KBS–CREE regarding work culture and job roles in their organization.

  • Students are encouraged to submit feedback and suggestions to improve the functioning of KBS–CREE.

  • Any misconduct or violation of these norms will lead to delisting from placement opportunities.
