“COSMIC Club” Inauguration & Anti-Ragging Awareness Session

A strong commitment toward the creation of a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus culture saw the COSMIC Club being inaugurated by Kochi Business School. The event was held on 14th August 2025 in the Seminar Hall in association with IQAC. It featured an impactful Anti-Ragging Awareness Session.

The inaugural session was led by Dr Bindhu Ann Thomas, Principal, Kochi Business School, while the keynote address was given by Mr. Muhammed Ashraf, Sub Inspector of Police, who is also District Coordinator, Social Policing Wing, Aluva, and Master Trainer, Child-Friendly Projects, Kerala Police.

Event Highlights

• Inauguration of COSMIC Club: For the inauguration ceremony, students from the different MBA programs came together on campus for positive engagements.
• Awareness Session: Mr. Muhammed Ashraf delivered an inspiring talk on anti-ragging, stressing empathy, respect, and responsibility.
• Ensure campus safety: Students were reminded that ragging is an offence and it is punishable by law, and that it would harm the well-being of individuals and the harmony of academics.
• Collective Responsibility: The event galvanized students into action to ensure that the entire Kochi Business School becomes a safe and inclusive environment.

The COSMIC Club Inauguration & Anti-Ragging Awareness Session was an inspirational event, which reinstated the ethical values such as compassion, safety, and inclusiveness in the students.
