‘Career Take-Off’ Workshop by Dr Bindhu Ann Thomas for MCA & MBA Students at Lead College, Palakkad

Dr Bindhu Ann Thomas, Principal of Kochi Business School, conducted a transformative two-day career development program, “Career Take-Off,” at Lead College, Palakkad. The event was successfully conducted on May 26 and 27, 2025. It saw the enthusiastic participation of over 300  students from the MCA and MBA departments of the college. The event marked a significant step in their journey towards professional excellence.

The program, led by our beloved Principal Dr. Bindhu Ann Thomas, aimed to help students develop and refine the skills needed for a successful career. She brought her dynamic presence and extensive expertise to guide and mentor the students. The program focused on holistic development. The sessions aimed to build technical, academic strength, and soft skills essential for career growth.

Over two days, students at Lead College Palakkad were trained on several vital aspects, including:

  • Group Discussion & Activities (GDA): Enhancing communication and teamwork
  • Attitude Building: Shaping a growth mindset and positive outlook
  • Grooming: Building personal presentation and professionalism
  • Interview Skills: Conveyed tips and mock drills to ace job interviews
  • Self-Introduction: Helping Students Craft Powerful Personal Pitches
  • Placement Readiness: Understanding hiring trends and employer expectations
  • Career Planning: Guidance on aligning aspirations with opportunities.

Summing Up

“Career Take-Off” was a career awakening event for many students. The event pointed out the realities of the professional world and the steps they must take to succeed in it. The sessions conducted by Dr Bindhu were highly interactive, filled with thought-provoking activities, real-world examples, and personalized feedback.
