Kochi Business School proudly celebrated Convocation 2026 on September 19, 2026, honouring the graduating students of the 2023 and 2024 batches. Film Fiesta will provide a lively platform for students to express all their passion for films and showcase all their artistic skills.

Film Fiesta 2026 featured a variety of film-inspired performances and activities that highlighted the creativity and talent of students. From iconic movie recreations to original performances, all participants brought all their cinematic magic to life on all the stages. The event will encourage all students to step into all spotlight and showcase their acting, storytelling, and performance skills.
Students explored the different aspects of cinema, including the movie scene recreations, acting performances, film-inspired dance showcases and the creative storytelling sessions. Kochi Business School successfully conducted a Data Analytics Bootcamp Program with some Microsoft Certification in Excel and Power BI from 10th March to 16th March 2026 at the KBS College campus. The program was designed to equip all the MBA students with their all practical data analytics skills and some industry-relevant knowledge in today's data-driven business environments.

The bootcamp was led by Rajneesh Warrier, Microsoft Certified Data Analyst and the Microsoft Certified Excel Expert from  Learntree School for Skill Excellence, Palakkad. Kochi Business School organised an insightful and important awareness session on November 12, 2025, as part of Cyber Jagarukata Week. Mr Roopesh K. R., SHO Infopark, was the program's main speaker. He conducted an influential session on "Cyber Fraudulent Activities Awareness" to enlighten students about the growing online threats and to emphasise the need for digital safety.

Understanding the Growing Cyber Threat Landscape

Mr Roopesh gave an interesting and enlightening speech about the evolution of cyber fraud in the last few years. He went through the different methods fraudsters use, such as phishing messages, fake links, identity theft, OTP scams, and social engineering. He sessions raised awareness among students regarding how people can be duped so easily if they are not careful about their online activities. He also pointed out the necessity of practising good cyber hygiene and encouraged the students to adopt safe online practices, e.g., checking the sources of communication, and being aware of any doubtful online activities.

Interactive Session with Real-World Insights

The Cyber Fraud Awareness Session’s Q&A segment had active participation from the students who asked about online privacy, transaction security, and social media use safety questions. Mr Roopesh presented real case situations faced at Infopark to the students, which made the students understand clearly the way in which cyber fraud takes place and the reason why quick reporting is so important.

The fest lasted for four days, and the campus changed its nature to a place of zest, vigour, and cultural excellence. Students from different years participated in a variety of events and expressed the KBS spirit, sharing the message of teamwork and their artistic skills through various ways of cultural and artistic activities.

Celebrating Talent and Expression

The AURA 2025 was an offering of a very dynamic platform for the students where they could unleash their creativity and, on top of that, express their artistic inclinations. All the events were a mirror of passion, imagination, and hard work—visuals, literature, music, dance, and the like, all were there. The performances were a major source of KBS’ diversity and also of students' power to mix the old-time with the new-day in a very modern way of expression. The audience was on their toes all the time as the performers performed with super high zeal, and this turned out to be a great festival for all the people who were there.

For four continuous days, the campus echoed with students’ cheers, applause, and laughter as they gave their support and celebrated each other’s wins. The aura of unity, combined with a little bit of competition that was not so healthy, made AURA 2025 not only an event but also a great trip to the past and future in terms of memory and creativity. Teachers, however, along with the students, were the backstage crew who made it possible for the smooth flow of events and created a welcoming atmosphere and thus, an angel was born in the form of the participants.

The Hospitality and Tourism Club SATKAR of Kochi Business School organised a program Hungry Manager - Season 2 event on October 31 2025, at KBS Seminar Hall. The event created an opportunity for students to experience allaspects of management education while exploring the culinary arts.

Kochi Business School organised an Annual Sports Day from October 24 to 25, 2025. The event was a huge success as it managed to unite students of all batches for two outstanding days of competition, friendship, and fun. The annual sports day not only brought KBS spirit to light but also displayed teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship in their best forms.

Celebrating Sportsmanship and Passion

The campus was filled with joy and excitement as the students participated in a wide range of games, including football, cricket, badminton, running, long jump, shot put, carroms and chess. The event filled some energy, enthusiasm and the healthy rivalry reflecting the collective spirit that will define the Kochi Business School.
From powerful football goals to strategic chess moves, every moment demonstrated the importance of teamwork and perseverance. The fields and the courts turned into arenas of learning, where students not only competed but also learned the value of unity and fair play.

A strong commitment toward the creation of a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus culture saw the COSMIC Club being inaugurated by Kochi Business School. The event was held on 14th August 2025 in the Seminar Hall in association with IQAC. It featured an impactful Anti-Ragging Awareness Session.

The inaugural session was led by Dr Bindhu Ann Thomas, Principal, Kochi Business School, while the keynote address was given by Mr. Muhammed Ashraf, Sub Inspector of Police, who is also District Coordinator, Social Policing Wing, Aluva, and Master Trainer, Child-Friendly Projects, Kerala Police.

On June 26, 2025, the Infopark Police conducted a World Anti-Drug Day campaign at the Athulya Auditorium in Infopark, Kochi. The event was a great initiative to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug use and to encourage the community, especially today’s youth, to embrace a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.

The campaign started with a rally that began at Athulya Auditorium and proceeded to the Infopark Police Station. Participants in the rally held banners and placards in their hands, conveying the message against drug abuse, symbolizing a collective stand against addiction. This rally was a complete success and caught the attention of the Infopark community, but also delivered a strong message on the importance of early prevention and public participation.

A key highlight of the event was the participation of students from Kochi Business School. Their involvement added energy and urgency to the cause, given that drug abuse among students has become a growing concern in recent years. 

With increased academic pressure, peer influence, and the easy availability of substances, many students are at risk of falling into the trap of drug use. Events like this play a crucial role in educating students about the dangers of addiction and the importance of making healthy life choices.

The campaign emphasized that drug abuse is not just an individual issue, but a societal one that requires collective awareness, early intervention, and continued support. Through awareness campaigns, educational outreach, and community engagement, we can build a strong front against the menace of drugs.

The Infopark Police deserve commendation for spearheading this initiative and bringing various sections of the community together for such an important cause. The message was clear and powerful—choosing a drug-free life is the first step toward a better future.

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, the Kochi Business School Auditorium at Edachira hosted ‘Niravu 2025’. The Auditorium came alive with the spirit of giving and recognition during the event. This heartwarming community outreach event, ‘Niravu’, was jointly organized by Kochi Business School(KBS) and the Division Councillor of Thrikkakara Corporation.

The event was inaugurated by Shri. Hibi Eden, Hon. Member of Parliament, whose presence added immense value to the program. At the ceremony, 10 outstanding students residing in Kakkanad and Edachira, who secured top marks in Class 10, Class 12, and Degree examinations, were specially honored and awarded for their academic excellence. The award distribution was carried out by Hibi Eden, acknowledging their hard work and determination.

The highlight of the event was the distribution of educational supplies, including school bags, books, and other essentials, to 300 students from the Edachira locality. She focused her doctoral research on "Relevance of the Copyright Act of 1957 to Protect the Interests of Directors and Writers in Indian Cinema", a topic that reflects her deep commitment to advocating for creative rights within the Indian film industry. Dr. Kavitha Chalakkal, a well-known expert in Intellectual Property Rights, guided the study.

An accomplished actress, lawyer, and educator, Dr. Muthumani made her silver screen debut in 2006 in the Mohanlal-starrer Rasathanthram. Since then, she has acted in many praised films like Vinoda Yatra, Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty, How Old Are You, Oru Indian Pranayakatha, Luka Chuppi, Adetu Chinthavishyam, and Annayum Rasoolum.

Beyond her work in the movies, Dr. Muthumani is also a trained lawyer and a passionate advocate of intellectual property rights for the creative sectors. About KMAT

The KMAT Kerala exam is a management entrance exam conducted annually by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala, for admission to MBA programs. KMAT Kerala 2025 is a state-level exam, and its scores are accepted by various government and private business schools across the state. The exam is held twice a year and is a Pen and Paper Based Test (PBT). The announcement for KMAT Kerala is made in October, with the first session taking place in the first week of December, followed by the second session in July.

In this scenario, the students learned that leadership is not only about planning, but foresight and execution of plans. The event, held at the picturesque Edachira, Kakkanad, was filled with enthusiasm and pride. Hosted by Steve Sebastian and Catherine Grace Jerry, the ceremony showcased the achievements of the graduating students from the batches of 2018, 2019, and 2020.

The Graduation Day ceremony began with an academic procession, followed by inspiring speeches and the presentation of certificates. Steve Sebastian and Catherine Grace Jerry expressed their delight at being part of such a special day and commended the exceptional accomplishments of the graduands, instilling a sense of anticipation for their future endeavours.

The ceremony included prayers and the invocation of blessings by Ms Rinva Rahman, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment. The lighting of the lamp by dignitaries further added to the spiritual atmosphere of the event. Welcoming the graduands from the batches of 2018, 2019, and 2020, Steve Sebastian fostered a sense of community and inclusiveness. Esteemed individuals delivered impactful speeches, including Dr Thomas George K, the Chief Mentor, who highlighted the transformative power of mentors and the vision of making Kochi Business School a world-class institution. The Chief Guest, Mr Rajesh Nair, and the Guest of Honor, Mr Dinesh P Thampi, inspired the graduands with their graduation and keynote addresses, respectively.

Dr Bindhu Ann Thomas, the Principal, presented the academic report, acknowledging the achievements of the graduating batches. The Principal's commendation for each batch recognized the collective efforts, dedication, and perseverance of the students. To emphasize commitment and responsibility, Mr Mathew K George, Dean HR, led the graduands in taking the graduation oath. During the Graduation Ceremony, the graduands were led in taking the graduation oath, a solemn pledge symbolizing their commitment to their chosen profession and the betterment of society. With their hands held high, they solemnly recited the oath:

"I solemnly pledge myself to consecrate my life to the service of humanity. I will be loyal to my profession and just and generous to its members; I will lead my life and practice my profession in uprightness and honour. Whatever project I shall undertake, it shall be for the good of mankind to the utmost of my power. I will keep far away from wrong, from corruption, and from tempting others to vicious practice. I will not permit considerations of religion, nationality, race, party politics, or social standing to intervene between my duty and my work. Even under threat, I will not use my professional knowledge contrary to the laws of humanity. I make these promises solemnly, freely, and upon my honour."

As the graduands recited the oath, a powerful sense of dedication and responsibility filled the air, inspiring them to embrace the values of integrity and compassion that their education had instilled in them. Following the recitation of the oath, an important tradition unfolded as the graduands moved the tassel of their caps from the right side to the left, symbolizing the transition from students to graduates and marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. It was a moment of pride and accomplishment, as they prepared to embark on their respective journeys, armed with knowledge, determination, and a deep sense of purpose.

Outstanding students who excelled in their academic pursuits were honoured during the ceremony. Mr Rajesh Nair and Mr Dinesh Thampi congratulated the best outgoing students from each batch by presenting them with gold coins. The Best Outgoing student from Batch 2018 was Mr Muhammed N. S, from Batch 2019 was Mr Arun Kumar R, and from Batch 2020 was Shristi Suresh.

A group of 30 students from Kochi Business School had the opportunity to intern in Qatar during the 2023 FIFA World Cup. The students were selected from both the Finance and General MBA programs. They were offered a lucrative payment of INR 1,50,000 and INR 1,00,000 respectively for their work during the 45-day internship. This internship experience not only provided the students with valuable practical exposure but also gave them a chance to witness the international sporting event of the year. Working during the World Cup allowed them to gain insight into the behind-the-scenes operations and management of such a large-scale event. This opportunity undoubtedly helped the students to enhance their skills and knowledge and provided them with a unique and valuable experience that will benefit them in their future careers.

The Kombatts 2020, an event conducted by students of Kochi business school, Kakkanad, Kochi solicits participation from students of colleges across Kerala and other major cities of south India. Kombatts 2020 marks the fifth edition of the management festival envisioning the participation of more than 500 participants battling out arduous tasks planned in three rounds. Unlike the usual management meet, Kombatts 2020 is an exhilarating mix of physical endurance and team management. The three-round contest starts with the theme of human evolution starting from the stone age and concludes with the intelligence of the future. The events test the tenacity, synergy and persistence of the students. It is the only platform where vigour, excitement and intellect help to meet the target.

Kochi Business School (KBS) was proud to host its annual business conference, bringing together students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals for a day of networking, learning, and inspiration.

The theme of this year's conference was "Innovative Strategies for a Changing Business Landscape," and featured a lineup of distinguished speakers and panelists who shared their insights and expertise on a range of topics, from digital marketing and entrepreneurship to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

We, the Kochi business school had conducted kerala corporate cricket league(kccl) with 32 corporates on Feb 5th and 6th of 2k21. For the second time we had conducted a corporate cricket league Tournament. It was a great challenge for us to conduct such an event in this pandemic and event was strictly obeys the covid protocol
